The internationally recognized medical journal “Aging” recently published the latest research findings on Alzheimer’s disease. A research team from Oslo University Hospital and Akershus University Hospital, led by Professors Hilde Nilsen and Evandro Fei Fang, utilized nematodes to simulate human cells and study whether krill oil can slow down the aging process. The study revealed that nematodes receiving krill oil experienced fewer nerve cell losses in their brains as they aged. Krill oil can promote healthy aging by influencing several processes that drive aging, significantly improving the survival of dopaminergic neurons in aging nematodes and demonstrating a significant anti-aging effect.
